notes part two: the good news is that my muses were-cars have not abandoned me and i will be finishing this fic. the bad news is that, for me at least, writing fanfic was a substitute for many of the things i lost when i moved, and in the last two weeks have managed to gain access to again. So my time and energy is mostly going back into those and thus will not be updating this very fast at all anymore. and probably will not start any new fics for a very long time.

so ... working on "were-cars":

i happen to love rhythm as a character and i know his pov is nescessary so that the reader gets an idea of the politics of the were-car track that's happening in the story, but i can't help but feel that as far as the story is concerned, that's the only reason to have his pov. it just seems that when rhythm and prowl are in a scene together, there's nothing in rhythm's pov i can't get from prowl's as well -- and i admit prowl's pov is just a little bet easier for me to write. prowl's narration voice is very similar to my own omincient narration voice, which not only makes it very easy for me to smoothly switch from on to the other, also makes prowl's narration sound much more natural.

i think this means that, for were-cars at least, i'm probably going to go a few chapters using only prowl's pov, until i have an issue with the were-cars or other shapeshifters i need to bring up.

which on the other hand kinda sucks, because i happen to like the way rhythm thinks and there are minor issues going on in his head i need to bring up, but since only a few of them will be more than a few sentences long, i think they're going to have to wait to be dumped into the next rhythm-pov chapter.
