sometimes i love kids. it just doesn't occur to them that the cat is unusual.
not that hearing adults' amazement at smoke's good behavior will ever get old, but it's just as amusing to see the kids' indifference to the strangeness.
so for breakfast i had a roll and tea.
i bought smoked salmon, pear cider, chocolate covered dried cherries, a cheese croissant, a restaurant guide to places that use locally grown food, and a marionberry cookie.
after her normal walk, we managed to wander around the market just a bit. there was one short hissing contest with a puppy that got too curious -- poor dog didn't even know what she was, let alone have any hostile intentions -- but other than that we didn't have any real problems with it.
the entire thing tired her out though. she's currently asleep on the rug.
